The man behind Cheadle Construction and the reason every single project gets treated like it's my own home.
I've been passionate about building things for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Stockport, I used to watch houses go up around the neighbourhood and think, "I want to do that." I started as an apprentice bricklayer at 16, worked my way through every trade on site, and eventually founded Cheadle Construction to do things properly, the way I believe they should be done.
For me, it's never just a job. When I walk onto your site, I see the kitchen where your family will gather, the extension where your kids will play, the loft bedroom you've always dreamed of. That's what drives me and my team to deliver work we're genuinely proud of, every single time.

How much does a home extension cost in Cheadle?
The cost of a home extension varies depending on size, complexity, and specification. As a guide, single-storey extensions typically start from £1,800 to £2,500 per square metre, whilst double-storey extensions range from £1,500 to £2,200 per square metre. We provide detailed, fixed-price quotations following an initial survey.
Do I need planning permission for a loft conversion?
Many loft conversions fall under Permitted Development rights and do not require formal planning permission. However, dormer conversions on front-facing elevations, properties in conservation areas, and conversions exceeding certain volume allowances will require approval. Our team handles all planning applications on your behalf.
How long does a typical project take?
Project timelines vary by scope. A standard loft conversion takes 8 to 12 weeks, a single-storey extension 10 to 16 weeks, and a full house renovation 16 to 24 weeks. We provide a detailed programme of works at the start of every project.
Are you fully insured and accredited?
Yes. Cheadle Construction carries £10 million public liability insurance, employer's liability insurance, and professional indemnity insurance. We are NHBC registered, members of the Federation of Master Builders, and comply fully with all current building regulations.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
All our projects come with a minimum 10-year structural warranty. We also provide a 2-year defects liability period during which any snags or issues are resolved at no additional cost.
